The Cochran Oriental and TCO Teas™, our tea brand, aims to introduce tea and tea culture to untapped communities in Houston, Texas. TCO Teas™ stocks Rooibos, Herbal Blends, Japan Green, China Green, Tisanes, Black, White, Pu’er, Oolong, and Darjeeling teas, including some decaffeinated teas. Additionally, many of TCO Teas™ are USDA organic certified and ethically sourced.

The UENDURE® Tea Wall Experience is an optional add-on experience to each booking where guests can sample up to one hundred and forty different teas. Our partnership with UENDURE® Teas is courtesy of Robin Boykin whose journey with tea began with a passion for collecting wellness teas fourteen years ago as a remedy. After being healed she made it a mission to share her knowledge of natural remedies through teas.

After water, tea is the most popular drink in the world, so Robin’s mission to share tea knowledge with the world dovetails with TCO Teas™ goals. Tea, which was accidentally discovered in ancient China, is now cultivated in over sixty countries. In some parts of the world “tea” is known as “chai” because two Chinese dialects used different sounding words to explain the same drink; notably Americans say “tea” while Indians say “chai.”

All tea, including white, green, black, etc. are produced from the same plant, the camellia sinensis plant. They differ only in the production process; however, herbal or botanical teas aren’t real teas in that they do not contain the actual tea plant, the camellia sinensis. As one of the most versatile drinks, tea can be enjoyed in many ways and can bring different health benefits.
